Bill Kunde (BRE# 01701780) is the fourth generation of his family to live and work in the Sonoma County Wine Industry. From 1975 through 1992 he served as vineyard manager for Kinneybrook and Wildwood Vineyards totaling over 700 planted acres.  In 1992 he took over as Director of Operations at Kunde Family Estate Winery in Sonoma County and worked in this position for 10 years. 

From 2002-2005, Bill traveled nationally as a sales representative for the winery.  He served as a Board of Director for Kunde Family Estate Winery from 1995-2008.  Bill remains a principal of Kunde Family Vineyards.  Bill also served on the Board of Directors for the Sonoma County Grape Growers Association (now the wine commission) from 1990-1992.
 
In 2005, Bill received his California Real Estate Agent’s License, and started KM Properties, Inc. with his business partner Sue Michaelsen.  Other industry and community work include: Sonoma County Viticulture Technical Group; Sonoma County Winegrape Commission; Sonoma Valley Vintners and Growers’ Association (Grant Allocation Committee); Sonoma County Vintners Association; Zinfandel Advocates and Producers (ZAP); Family Winemakers of California; California Association of Realtors; and National Association of Realtors.

Sue Michaelsen (BRE# 01703727) is a real estate attorney and real estate broker who grew up in Sonoma County. Sue is well-versed in contract negotiation and drafting, complex real estate transactions, government entitlements and regulation, boundary disputes, and 1031 exchanges. Sue’s experience has aligned her with the specific nuances particular to the winery and vineyard industry and complex issues found in all real estate transactions. 

Sue’s formal education includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications and her Juris Doctorate Degree.   Sue’s professional resume includes work as a parks and recreation director, an elected City Official, employment at a San Jose law firm where she served as a Deputy City Attorney and private legal practice.  In 2005, Sue formed KM Properties with Bill Kunde.    

Sue’s industry and community work include: North Coast Wine & Visitors Center (Past Board of Director and Past President); Sonoma County Winegrape Commission; Sonoma County Vintners Association; Family Winemakers of California; Sonoma County Farm Bureau; North Bay Association of Realtors; California Association of Realtors; National Association of Realtors; and State Bar of California.

Sue also enjoys volunteering with the Schools of Hope reading program, Red Cross, Make A Wish Foundation and other charitable organizations. Sue has consulted with numerous winery & vineyard owners as well as real estate investors – both residential and commercial.
